Furnace Direct

Required by NEC code for every outdoor AC condenser. Provides a local shutoff so servicing the unit doesn't require cutting power at the main panel.

What it does

60 amp non-fused waterproof disconnect switch in a weather-sealed metal enclosure. Mounts on the wall adjacent to the outdoor condenser. Allows safe shut-off of the AC unit for service or storm prep without needing access to the main electrical panel.

Installation

Mounted on a wall within 50 feet of the condenser (per NEC 440.14). Wired between the main panel breaker and the AC whip. A licensed electrician or HVAC technician should install.
